With a heavy piano vamp over some long orchestral sustains, this track was definitely a little inspired by Hans Zimmer. Obviously the result is a million miles away from his sort of work, but hey, inspiration knows no bounds.
The chords follow a simple i – VI – III – VII in C# minor (C#m – A – E – B), though I'm not completely sure it's not actually in E major, the relative major. The melody starts firmly on the C# but finishes on the E, which suggests more E majory, but the chord progression resolves to the C#m. I conclude that my music theory knowledge isn't yet at the level needed to analyse my music to this degree, so I will just note that it sounded good to me and all the notes felt like they wanted to be where they ended up.
The title doesn't mean anything, though it did give me an excuse to use photos of a local bluebell wood in the video. Nice place.
